About The Funding Studio

 The Funding Studio is a nonprofit fiscal sponsor and fundraising accelerator for artists, filmmakers, festivals, and social innovators. We help you access philanthropic funding, stay compliant, and grow your impact, without needing to start your own nonprofit. 

 We operate at the intersection of arts and innovation; supporting everything from film, music, fine art, festivals, and independent cinemas to socially driven startups and creative businesses with a mission to make an impact.  If your project has a clear public benefit and creative mission, we’d love to learn more. 

We’re headquartered in Arizona, but we support projects across the country. Many of our sponsored projects are regional in focus, and we love helping stories rooted in local communities get the resources they need.

  Yes! We offer tiered support levels through our Studio Circle, Studio Sessions, and VIP Sessions packages. These include 1:1 coaching,  corporate sponsorship decks, grant strategy, and more. 

  Fiscal sponsorship allows you to receive tax-deductible donations and grants under our nonprofit status. We handle the administrative side—so you can focus on your creative or social impact work without the burden of forming your own 501(c)(3).  

  We use the Model C structure, which means you remain in control of your project, while we provide back-end compliance, donation processing, and grant management.  

We don’t fundraise for you — we fundraise with you. Our role is to guide, coach, and equip you with the strategy, language, and tools to confidently engage donors and funders. We’ll walk you through every step so that all that’s left for you to do is execute.

  Yes, but you must notify us before applying. All grants must be approved in advance and meet our compliance guidelines. We provide a grant intake portal to help keep everything organized.  

 No. We support individuals, LLCs, and unincorporated groups, as long as your project aligns with our public benefit mission and meets legal requirements for fiscal sponsorship. 

 We do not sponsor projects that promote hate, discrimination, or political campaigns. We also do not work with organizations that are solely commercial in nature or that lack a clear charitable or educational purpose. 

 Absolutely, and many of our projects do!  We understand how frustrating it can be to secure a fiscal sponsor, only to discover they offer little to no help with the one thing you need most: fundraising. That’s why we don’t require you to be fiscally sponsored by us in order to access our fundraising support. Our goal is simple: to help you get your project made.  

  What makes The Funding Studio unique is our fundraising-first approach. We’re here to make sure you have the tools, resources, skills, and community support you need to successfully raise funds. Our subscription model allows us to provide all of this at a significantly lower cost than if you were to purchase each service individually.  

 Yes. Our monthly plans start at $49/month and include fiscal sponsorship plus a private members portal, suite of fundraising tools, live office hours, templates, a grant database, operational training, and ongoing support. 

+A small percentage (8%) is taken from donations to cover admin and compliance costs.  

  Yes. Subscriptions are billed monthly. If you’d like to cancel, just let us know before your next billing date and we’ll take care of the rest.  

  You’ll submit a payment request through our secure backend system. Once approved, funds are disbursed directly to your account. We process payments weekly.  

 Visit thefundingstudio.org/fundraising-packages and choose the package that fits your needs. Once you complete checkout, you’ll receive a welcome email with access to your private member portal and application link.

 Not necessarily. You’re welcome to sign up directly if you're ready. If you need help deciding which package is right for you, we offer consultation calls as needed. 

In the case that your project does not align with our goals we are not able to offer fiscal sponsorship. However we will do our best to connect you with a sponsor that fits your needs.

Absolutely, membership is month-to-month and you can cancel at any time. 

Once you submit your application, we can usually get you set up with in 3-5 days.
